It must be the fact it's Winter, and I am so needing the warm sun right now, but I've been painting a lot of poppies again lately. This one is finally varnished and ready to go! If you look at the listing on Etsy, you will see 2 versions. One is lighter, and one is darker. They are the same painting. The reason for that is that my PC and my MAC each show such different versions of the same painting. The color variations from monitor to monitor make it difficult to accurately portray my paintings on line.

Poppies are my favorite flowers! I found a sweet ceramic platter in Rousillon, France this past fall. Have you ever seen the fields of poppies that bloom there? I don't if anything grows like that here in the states. I was checking out "Cote de Texas" blog and noticed your poppy painting. Beautiful and sweet.
