Love
We had a beautiful snowy, foggy morning yesterday, which eventually melted throughout the day. That's the great thing about Colorado. Snow, and 50 degree weather on the same day!
My husband took the above picture. Do you see the heart on top of the church chapel roof on the right? (Excuse the construction mess in front). There was no retouching on this photo. Sometimes God shows us Himself in the most creative ways to show us His love for us. Happy Valentines Day everyone!

My Iphone Case
I got a new phone. It's nice and big - for all the photo editing and emailing I do. I also loaded some library books on it in case I need something to read while I sit in my car waiting for my kids.
I made a new case through Zazzle, which I've done in the past. I've had good luck with it every time. Here's the image I used. It's sort of a "where's waldo" where I added members of my family in it - this image makes me happy. It reminds me of fun times on the beach we have every year.
Here's a picture of the case on the phone. It's difficult trying to take a picture of the phone in a mirror without taking a selfie! I try to avoid selfies.

And, the whole issue with unwanted ads popping up? I think it's my Surface computer. I never have problems with my Mac. I have to on a regular basis go through a clean-up process to get rid of these spyware programs.
Hope you all have a great Fall day!

UNAPPROVED ADS
Is anyone else having a problem of unapproved ads showing up on their blog? I only see this in Google. My blog looks fine on Safari, but in Google, crazy ads are showing up. I HAVE NOT APPROVED THESE ADS! Does anyone know how to get rid of these ads?!

Summertime Fun
Hi! Is anyone out there? Summer is flying by for us. We've been busy with sports camps, 3v3 soccer, and of course, our beach vacation!
I hope you all are having a great Summer so far. Kids go back to school mid-August here. The Summer will be gone before I know it, then back to the grind!

Mother's Day
Mother's Day is filled with extreme emotions for me. It is the day my youngest was born several years ago. It is also the day I buried my mom a year ago. It's still raw - and I can't express how I feel into words. I just want you all to know I'm thinking of all the mothers out there. Enjoy the day, and enjoy your mothers!

Imagine Free
Feel free to dream!
Spring Break! Wahoo! We are looking forward to breaking free from the daily grind. The image above rests on my mantle. I am finally getting around to switching my mantle from my Winter look to a more Springy feel.
I used texture from TextureTime. Thank you for sharing your textures!
I hope you all have a great week!

Did you know you can get free downloads from Flickr? I downloaded the picture above from here.
Wouldn't a grouping look nice on a wall?

'Tis the Season
We have the four seasons, Thanksgiving/Christmas season, and in our family, soccer season. This last weekend our daughter's soccer team went to Arizona for a soccer tournament. It was a fun, albeit adventurous weekend, with a couple of girls catching the stomach flu. Thankfully, the team won all their games in shut-outs, becoming Champions in their division.
(I love the shadows in the picture above.)
As a busy family with 3 kids in sports, sitting together for a meal during the week is difficult. I'm trying to be proactive this year and preparing meals ahead of time. Any great ideas?
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Our Two - Top Christmas Tree
Over Thanksgiving we cut down our tree. We found a fun tree this year. It is two trees connected at the trunk.
Here's the base:

Whimsy on the Mantle
Hello - it's been a long time. I've been slowly picking up the paint brush again. The painting above is based on our kids when we were in Vail seven years ago. With the help from my mom, they made 3 snowmen just like above.
My mom spent hours out in the snow rolling those big snowballs out to help the kids make the snowmen.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and holiday season. It will be difficult without my mom around, but I am trying to make the best of the "new normal". I want to create more fun memories for my kids, and just enjoy the little experiences that come our way.

In My Mother's Arms
It's been about 2 months since my mom's passing. Some days are easier than others. There are days when I've accepted her death, knowing she's in heaven, that she's at peace, and I will see her again.
Then there are days that when I am overcome by the knowledge that she is gone, and I am just so sad. Often, for a split second, I forget she is gone. When the phone rings, I think it's her, then I remember.
A few weeks ago, a friend suggested I paint a picture to let some of my feelings for my mom out. To be honest, I hadn't picked up a brush for at least 6 months. I could not find one ounce of motivation.
However, the other day, on one of my "weepy" days, I picked up a brush, pried open the stuck-on, paint dried, caps to my tubes of paint, and painted. "In My Mother's Arms" is a small, simple, and raw painting of how I felt sitting in my mom's lap as a child. It was a release of some pent-up emotion, and I felt better afterwards.

Ready for Spring
I'm not used to having snow lying around on the ground for days on end. After last weekend's dumping of snow, I'm done! It can snow in the mountains all it wants, but not here. Unfortunately, my children have yet to see their "snow day" - that free, unexpected, glorious day of no school. Oh well, I'm ready for some warmth. Everyone around me is probably tired of me saying "I hate being cold!" I'm ready for Spring!
