Summertime Fun
Hi! Is anyone out there? Summer is flying by for us. We've been busy with sports camps, 3v3 soccer, and of course, our beach vacation!
I hope you all are having a great Summer so far. Kids go back to school mid-August here. The Summer will be gone before I know it, then back to the grind!

Everything's Rosy
Is it already the middle of the month? One month left until Valentines Day?
Things have been busy here - my mom had heart surgery last week, so I have been preoccupied with that. It'll take a few months to see if the surgery corrected her problem, but it is looking good so far, and we are hopeful.
My project this year (as is every year) is to organize, finish and purge. I am very tired of all the unnecessary stuff I have saved for "just in case". I am also tired of all the pictures sitting on floors waiting to be hung, and all the unfinished projects laying around. I want to "do" more than "wish" and "dream".
My oldest daughter has been the recipient of my focus on getting things done. I've started hanging pictures on her wall that have been sitting in a bin for months since her room was repainted. Here's a sneak peak of the in progress. We're planning a floor to ceiling art/photo/poster wall. Please excuse the mess!
Have a fantastic Monday! My focus for today is trying to stay warm! :)

Indian Summer
We are having a beautiful Fall day here. I went out to capture the last of the leaves with my camera and iphone.
Most of the leaves are on the ground, but these last few are hanging on!

Vacation and Coastal Living
I was here last week:
We were at Carillon Beach, which is near Seaside and Rosemary Beach in Florida's panhandle. I have posted about Carillon before; it's our 3rd year there. Luckily, we missed tropical storm Debby.
While there, my friends and I were lucky to be able to visit Coastal Living's Idea House at Rosemary Beach:
We came back home from vacation and hit the ground running the next day with soccer games, and various sports camps. I have yet to unload my pictures from our trip. When I do, I will share my pictures of this great home (& maybe trick you into seeing some vacation photos!)
I also bought some Annie Sloan's chalk paint today. I had no idea I had a retailer just minutes from my home! I am hoping to paint a big armoire soon.

Checking In
I sort of disappeared, didn't I? This is what we've been up to this summer:
Ran a 10K. My son ran it in under 53 minutes. Not bad for someone who used to have a heart condition!
He wore this bracelet that his former baseball coach/Sunday school teacher made for him. She is awesome. It has the verse Isaiah 40:31 on it.
Our girls have some great friends in the neighborhood. They had an outdoor movie night:

Almost There!
One more day of school! I feel like I'm 10 years old again; I'm so excited for them to be out doing things like swinging on a tire swing!

Tulips at Home
My tulips are the one thing in the garden that will grow. I don't think they know they are supposed to last only two years.

We are cherishing every moment together this Spring break. Time is flying so fast, and these kids will be grown before we know it.

We spent a couple of days skiing/snowboarding in 60 degree weather during Spring Break. I love warm weather skiing!

Weekend Photos
The floral pictures are from a couple weekends ago, but I thought they were pretty. I took them at Costco while waiting for my husband to finish shopping for the meal his group was preparing for the Ronald McDonald House. (The Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to stay while their children are being treated for life-threatening illnesses.)

Weekend Pictures
My weekend taken with the iphone, processed with instagram:
Flowers from costco. Reminds me of spring. I'm ready!
My son's photo-the baby A&W can - he says the photo looks "vintage". Where'd he learn that word? :)
My girl's artwork in a juried show at the mall. Her picture is the owl at the bottom.
Thoroughly enjoying ribs at the Elephant Bar.
Happy Monday everyone!

Sunday
This is what we did on Sunday Evening:
All that white? It's snow. Very pretty, except for the fact it was FREEZING, and I had on about 5 layers on top! Anything to watch your kids, right?
I love the shadows in that top picture. I wish I had my big camera with me. Thank goodness for the iphone!
